Dear Mr. President,
Given your extensive work and experience in the area of international election observation, we therefore ask for your assistance regarding the upcoming august 30 presidential election in Gabon , Africa . We represent an international not for profit organization called “Coalition for African Progress” interested in promoting democracy and the rule of law in Africa . We do fully understand the Carter Foundation cannot monitor an election unless it is invited by the host country. But given the urgency of the transition of power in Gabon and possible political and economic impact of the upcoming election on Gabon and neighboring countries, we ask for your assistance in providing guidance and training on how to conduct election monitoring activities. We would like to set up election monitoring workshops activities in Gabon to ensure a fair and free election. For this is the first time Gabon is truly electing a new president in 42 years. Gabon has already shown maturity and leadership in following the constitutional process since the death of Omar Bongo Ondimba in June 8, 2009 in Spain . We as Gabonese people leaving in the United States of America and members of CAP would like to offer our help in ensuring free and fair election in Gabon by offering the mentioned workshops. I look forward to hearing from you in the days to come. Otherwise, we will follow up with a phone call or a visit to your office by Camille Ngoulou, our member who leaves in Atlanta.
Enclosed you will find our Articles of Corporation.
Respectfully
Guy Roger Biwagou Biwagou
